Alleluia (SATB, div)
This piece plays with the juxtaposition between ideas: Alleluia is happy word, but set in B minor; minor keys are supposed to be sad, but this sounds happy. Parts of the piece are inspired by my childhood love of video games. In the solo section, there is a quote from Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring" as the world holds its breath. This upbeat, challenging piece will delight your singers with its rhythmic patterns and would be great for church or the concert stage.
